Summer Reading

Each summer, an average of 400,000 children, teens, and adults participate in summer library programming. Funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and supported by the Boston Bruins, the MBLC works with the Massachusetts Library System (MLS) to coordinate the statewide summer library program. Starting in 2022, Massachusetts will be using the iREAD Summer Reading Program.

Boston Bruins Support

The Boston Bruins work with the MBLC and the Massachusetts Library System to increase literacy by encouraging children, teens and adults to participate in statewide summer library programs.
